Cornerstone Funeral Home And Crematory Obituaries, The Cornerstones FREE from Hunger Center, known as the Food Hub, is pioneering a powerful solution to the intertwined problems of food waste and hunger. Cornerstones operates the largest and most accessible food pantry in northwest Fairfax County. The Assistance Services and Pantry Program (ASAPP) has, on average, over 10,000 pounds of food available on any given day, stored at its pantry and off-site storage units. Since opening its 14,000-square-foot facility in November 2023, The Food Hub has distributed over 480,000 pounds of rescued food – equivalent to more than 400,000 meals Working in partnership with Fairfax County, Cornerstones operates the 70-bed Embry Rucker Community Shelter (ERCS) and provides 24/7, 365 days a year, wrap-around services and programs to families and individuals experiencing homelessness.
