The exams were essay based but it was basically just regurgitating what he said in class, so if you take notes during class, you're pretty much guaranteed an A. i don't know if he is teaching it still since we moved to online, but i hated movies going into it (freshman gen ed, not much was open) and i came out loving films. Chronological survey of the most influential and recognized film artists and film movements of the world. it is more of a general course that gives you a overview of the history of film and cinema rather than a specific genre. HISTART 2901 (History of Cinema) is extremely asynchronous (even if you can’t stay on top of the readings and movies for a whole month you can catch up because of relaxed due dates), very easy work (cakewalk quizzes and you only need to write 2 decent papers for the whole class), it’s watching movies so it’s not boring or anything. It's Intro to World Cinema, and you watch movies in class (while in other film classes you have to watch them for homework). Took it with Steven Hunt two years ago. HISTART 3002 Does anyone have any info on how this class is? It sounded pretty cool so I signed up for it but I can't seem to find anyone who has taken it on here or otherwise. Class Notes: This course will introduce students to the history of film as an artistic medium and a global art form.
