Everyone seems to agree that Nikons 12-24mm f4 is a great lens, but at a cost of neary $1000, how much better is it than the Tokina 12-24mm f4 at about half the price. Are these "the best" lenses? Others may disagree, however, these have given me trooper service for almost thirty years. It is also more simple as I only have one lens for it - A CV nokton (although I have used the Summilux). The FM2 is a very nice camera. While the workmanship AU-1 (and CU-1) generally is of a high standard, the design leaves a lot to be desired since there is a tendency for the focusing collar to jam when a heavy lens head is attached to the front. Any user experiences, performance (optics, in particular), comparisons with other TCs will be much appreciated. I bought a lens to go with it, of course,but I just want the one. Except for the Nikon/Tamron 17-28, which has a rather restricted range, there are no zooms for those who want to go wider than 24mm, but don't need or want the super-wide 14mm zooms.
